Dr. Susan Janssens received her Bachelor of Science at the University of British Columbia, and then completed her formal studies in Naturopathic Medicine at Southwest College in Phoenix, Arizona.  Early in her career, Dr. Janssens traveled throughout North and South America broadening her understanding of healthcare by engaging in other culture’s methods and customs.  Her unique experiences led her to teach and evolve her practice alongside Dr. Terry Willard at the Wild Rose Clinic in Calgary, AB.  Following this, she became instrumental in founding and developing the Integrative Medicine Institute, at which time she continued her quest to learn more about chronic diseases, specifically cancer.  This drive for answers saw Dr. Janssens travel to medical clinics in Russia, Germany, Ireland, Mexico and the United States to observe some of the world’s leading doctors pioneer cutting edge methods and technologies.

With knowledge, determination and compassion, Dr. Janssens has now created the Maya Health Centre.  Here, she addresses her patient’s health in its entirety, looking for the root cause and administering the most beneficial treatment plan.  Neurological disorders, mood disorders and chronic disease are her main areas of expertise, which are integral to her new Natural Mood Care Program.  She also has particular interest and success with women’s health.  Dr. Susan Janssens continues to improve the lives of those who seek her out.
